Free Online Sonic Game

By Dave Bromley

Skill Gaming is one of the fastest growing areas of interest on the Internet today.

In Skill Gaming the emphasis is on a player’s own gaming skills and prowess rather than relying solely on chance – whether playing a traditional arcade-style game or a trivia challenge. Some of the games are online versions of traditional games such as Backgammon, Chess or Marjong while the origins of others can be traced back to arcade games.

And now we are seeing a new breed of game which I suppose was really inspired by ebay and the other online auctions. The UK based lottery syndicate company Virtual World Direct have just launched a new non-gambling game “e-Lotbidder”. This latest Skill Gaming program gives the player an opportunity of winning a top of the range Mercedes CLK sports car.

The game is in fact a “reverse” auction were the object is to submit not the highest but the lowest unique bid. It sounds pretty easy but of course there is one little drawback. At the end of the auction to be a “unique” bid, which means yours has to be the lowest price that no one else has bid upon. Not quite so easy now.

When you play or “make a bid” there are 3 possible outcomes. Your bid could be:

1.The lowest unique bid - in which case you are leading the auction.

2.Unique but not the lowest. But of course you could subsequently become the lowest if someone else matches the lowest current bid which then stops it being “unique”.

3.Your bid may be the same as someone else’s in which case it is not unique.

The game, which can be played online worldwide costs just under $2, a bid and all bids are in UK pounds and pence. As an encouragement players are given their first bid is free.

The record of the company running the game, Virtual World Direct is first class. For the last 4 years they have been running the largest lottery syndicate operation in the world. For details visit http://www.lottosyndicate.net and there is no doubt that they will be running this game with the same high standards.

As a game I think it is a fascinating concept and I could see how it could become a big favourite. However, it is no instant game as the lottery runs right through until September. This will give players plenty of opportunity to take part

I must admit the prize is a real turn on, I could just imagine having that car parked in my drive so I have worked out a strategy that I am going to use to play the game. It involves having 10 bids a month between now and September and that is all I am going to tell you. You will have to work out your own plan if you want to own the Mercedes CLK.
